Dependable water
The glossary of statistical terms, published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), defines dependable water as: ‘The portion of the surface water resource that can be depended upon for annual water development during a period of time. The period of time varies according to national situation, but it is usually 19 out of 20 (or 9 out of 10) consecutive years.’
